England head coach Thomas Tuchel has appealed to FIFA, urging them to immediately review the rules and positioning of media representatives before matches kick off.
Details: The German manager was extremely dissatisfied with how the photographers' area was organized during the ceremonial national anthem ahead of the clash with Croatia.
According to Tuchel, what should have been a special moment was almost entirely ruined for him.
"I beg FIFA to change the positioning of photographers during the national anthems. I simply couldn't see my team. I had been looking forward to this moment, it was extremely special for me, but there was a literal wall of 50 photographers in front of me. In the end, I couldn't see a single one of my players, and it somewhat spoiled the experience for me," the England manager said passionately.
Now all eyes are on FIFA officials to see if they respond to the star coach's public complaint and take steps to prevent such inconveniences in future World Cup matches.
It's worth noting that the match itself ended in a 4-2 victory for England.
Reminder: Thomas Tuchel commented on the substitution of Declan Rice.
