England national team captain Harry Kane has clarified his plans at Bayern Munich amid rumors of interest from European football powerhouses.
Details: According to Sky Germany insider Florian Plettenberg, Bayern and Kane have mutually agreed to put contract talks on hold temporarily. This pause is intended to allow the striker to fully focus on his performances at the World Cup.
Formal negotiations will resume immediately after the tournament in the USA wraps up, with a contract extension offer until 2029 already on the table. At this stage, the chances of an extension are rated as very high—Kane is not negotiating with other clubs and is happy in Germany.
The striker himself confirmed that thoughts of returning to the Premier League are behind him. According to Harry, after spending a couple of years in Germany and securing a domestic double, he has fully adapted and is ready to commit his long-term future exclusively to the German powerhouse.
This season, the English forward has played 51 matches for Bayern across all competitions, notching up an incredible 61 goals and providing 7 assists. Transfermarkt currently values the player at €60 million.
