On the night of March 15, the quarter-final match of the hard court ATP 1000 tournament in Indian Wells (USA) between Carlos Alcaraz (Spain, ATP 2) and Alexander Zverev (Germany, ATP 6) commenced.

The players exchanged initial games, but in the third encounter, the match was interrupted due to an utterly unexpected reason.

Bees swarmed court No. 1 in Indian Wells, forcing both Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev to vacate the court. The match has been suspended, awaiting the arrival of a beekeeper.

The match has still not resumed, despite more than an hour having passed.

It's worth noting that Alcaraz is the reigning champion of the tournament.
