Carlos Tevez will step down as the head coach of Independiente
Carlos Tevez, the head coach of Argentine club Independiente, has decided to step down from his position. He has already informed the club's president, Nestor Grindetti, about his decision.
Tevez will assist the team in preparing for the upcoming match and will leave Independiente after the game. Before a new head coach is appointed, the team will be temporarily led by Hugo Tokalli, the head coach of the youth team.
In August 2023, 40-year-old Carlos Tevez became the head coach of Independiente. In December of the same year, he extended his contract until 2026. This decision was made after he managed to turn the team from relegation candidates into contenders for top positions in the previous season.
Carlos Tevez played 201 matches in the Premier League and scored 84 goals while representing West Ham, Manchester United, and Manchester City. With United, he became a two-time English champion and won the UEFA Champions League, and then became a country champion with Man City.
Tevez has also played for clubs such as Juventus, Corinthians, Boca Juniors, and the Chinese Shanghai Shenhua.
