UEFA has put an end to the heated debate surrounding the controversial incident in Barcelona's match.
Details: The governing body has officially rejected the Catalan club's complaint regarding the referee's decision on defender Marc Pubill's handball in the penalty area.
The committee found Barcelona's claim to be unfounded, upholding the match result and the refereeing decisions, which sparked a wave of disappointment among the Blaugrana faithful.
It is worth recalling that representatives of the Catalan club insisted there was a clear rules violation by the opposing player that should have resulted in a penalty kick.
However, after reviewing the video replays and the referee team's reports, the technical committee concluded that the on-field officials acted in accordance with current game regulations and VAR protocol, finding no grounds to revisit the case.
Reminder: Raphinha will head to Madrid for the Champions League clash against Atletico.
