Tottenham swiftly begins search for Postecoglou replacement. Main candidate revealed

Winning the Europa League wasn’t enough to save Angelos Postecoglou from being sacked by Tottenham after a disastrous 17th-place finish in the Premier League. The Spurs wasted no time and have already started looking for a successor to the Australian, with a leading candidate now emerging.
Details: According to Sky Sports, Brentford’s head coach Thomas Frank is currently the main target. The Bees’ boss has long been on Tottenham’s radar, but this is the first time he’s been named as the frontrunner for the position.
Other names in the mix included Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola and Fulham’s Marco Silva. Iraola intends to remain at the Vitality Stadium, while Silva is reportedly considering a change of clubs in the foreseeable future. Talks with Brentford have yet to begin, but Frank’s contract does include a release clause.
Reminder: Despite clinching the Europa League trophy, Postecoglou’s Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League—just above the relegation zone. Over 38 matches, the team collected 38 points and conceded more goals than they scored: 64 to 65.
