The build-up to the FIFA World Cup has been overshadowed by serious accusations against FIFA coming from fans.

Details: According to Polymarket Sports, thousands of supporters who managed to purchase tickets for the tournament's top matches are claiming widespread fraud by the organizers. Buyers insist the international federation misled them about seat locations in stadiums, sparking a wave of outrage on social media and demands for official clarification.

The core of the complaints lies in the mismatch between the ticket class purchased and the actual seat locations. Fans who spent hefty sums on Category 1 (first-class) tickets discovered their seats were in areas previously officially classified as Category 2 or even Category 3.

Essentially, fans ended up with a far worse view of the pitch than what they paid for, with a huge gap in price between the categories.

Reminder: Neymar underwent surgery ahead of the World Cup.
