The world's third-ranked tennis player, Carlos Alcaraz, has announced his withdrawal from the Monte-Carlo Masters due to incomplete recovery from a right arm injury.

“I have been working in Monte Carlo and trying to recover until the last minute from an injured pronator teres in my right arm, but it was not possible and I cannot play! 🥲 I was really looking forward to playing... See you next year!”, wrotten Alcaraz in theit Instagram.

On April 7th, it was revealed that Alcaraz had cut short a training session in Monte-Carlo due to pain in his right forearm.

The Spaniard has won a total of 13 ATP titles in his career, including two Grand Slam tournaments. In March, Alcaraz crashed out in the quarterfinals of the Miami Masters.

As a reminder, the clay-court tournament in Monte-Carlo began on April 7th and will continue until the 14th of this month.
