The WBC has responded to the potential return of Manny Pacquiao

The Filipino boxer is contemplating a return to professional boxing, and the President of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Mauricio Sulaiman, has already responded to this announcement.
World Boxing News quotes Sulaiman, who considers Pacquiao a legendary boxer with the potential to make a comeback.
"I find this intriguing. Pacquiao is a legendary boxer, and without a doubt, he still has the ability to step into the ring. His latest medical tests were satisfactory, and he remains an elite fighter," stated the WBC President.
However, the organization has not yet received an official request and will await something formal. Manny Pacquiao has already achieved everything in the ring and does not face greater risks than any other boxer.
Pacquiao is a Filipino professional boxer who has competed in weight classes ranging from flyweight to light middleweight. He is an eight-division world champion.
Overall, he has defeated 16 world champions. He was named "Boxer of the Year" in 2006, 2008, and 2009, and "Boxer of the Decade" by the Boxing Writers Association. He was also honored as the best athlete of 2009 by the American Academy of Sport.
The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia is reportedly in talks with leading promotional companies worldwide to create its own boxing league. The project's cost could range from €4 to €5 billion.
