Legendary Italian goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu is close to returning to Palermo, as reported by Niccolò Schira.
He is on the brink of signing a contract until 2025, with an option to extend until 2026. Currently, Sirigu is a free agent. He played for Palermo from 2006 to 2011, becoming the team's first-choice goalkeeper in 2009 and spending two seasons in that role.
Last season, he signed contracts with Nice and Fatih Karagümrük. He did not play for the French side but made two clean-sheet appearances for the Turkish team, conceding 32 goals in 17 matches.
In 2011, he moved to Paris Saint-Germain for nearly €4 million and immediately became the club's first-choice goalkeeper.
By the way, Como signed former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina, and now another ex-Liverpool player has joined Fàbregas's squad. Como's press office announced the signing of former Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno.
