The hero of the Round of 16 from Turkey is disqualified for two matches

Turkey's central defender Merih Demiral will definitely miss the Euro 2024 quarter-final.
UEFA has suspended Demiral for two matches due to his celebration in the Round of 16 match against Austria, in which he scored a brace.
After netting his second goal, Demiral made a hand gesture known as the "wolf salute," associated with Turkish far-right radicals. This gesture is officially recognized as fascist in many countries, including Austria and Germany.
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already expressed dissatisfaction with UEFA's investigation into the player's actions.
At Euro 2024, the 26-year-old Al-Ahli defender was a substitute in the matches against Georgia and Portugal, and started in the games against Czech Republic and Austria.
Notably, Demiral's goal against Austria at 57 seconds was the fastest ever scored in the knockout stages of the European Championships.
On Saturday, July 6, Turkey will face the Netherlands in the quarter-final match.
