This decision came as a surprise, considering the proposed deal had already received approval from both the Independent Football Regulator and the English Football League (EFL).
In an official statement, Derby County emphasized that, to avoid any doubt, the club is now fully off the market. The organization will continue its operations and development with the loyal, devoted, and unwavering support of its current owners, Clowes Developments.
It's worth noting that Clowes Developments rescued Derby County from financial ruin and liquidation in the summer of 2022, bringing the club out of administration.
