Sevilla Explore Loan Move for Nigerian-Born Striker George Ilenikhena
Spanish La Liga side Sevilla are reportedly working on a deal to bring Nigerian-born striker George Ilenikhena back to European football from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.
According to ABC Sevilla, talks are ongoing between the relevant parties, with Sevilla exploring the possibility of signing the promising forward on loan.
Ilenikhena is reportedly keen on a return to Europe after struggling for regular playing time since joining Al-Ittihad. The 19-year-old moved to the Saudi Arabian club from AS Monaco in February 2026 but has made just six appearances for the Jeddah-based side, starting only one of those matches.
Sevilla are now considering a temporary move that could give the young striker an opportunity to play more regularly and continue his development in European football.
Despite his limited involvement at Al-Ittihad, Ilenikhena remains under a long-term contract with the Saudi club, with his current deal running until the end of the 2028/29 season.
