CAF Confirms Egypt as Host of 2027 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations

Egypt have been selected to host the 2027 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirming the decision on Monday, August 10.

The Egyptian Football Association will now begin preparations to stage the tournament, although CAF has yet to announce the official dates or host cities for the competition.

CAF also announced several other hosting decisions alongside the confirmation of Egypt as the U-23 AFCON host.

Morocco have been selected to stage the 2026 Futsal AFCON as well as the 2027 CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

South Africa will host the 2027 CAF Super Cup, while Senegal has been chosen to stage the 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON, scheduled for November. Meanwhile, Ghana will host the 2027 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
