Former world champion in the cruiserweight division, Krzysztof Głowacki, has been disqualified, as reported by journalist Michael Benson.

It has been revealed that the boxer tested positive for the banned substance boldenone after his defeat to Richard Riakporhe in January 2023. Głowacki has been disqualified for four years. Interestingly, the 37-year-old Głowacki made his MMA debut in June, defeating Patricky Tołoczko.

Głowacki contested his first 24 matches in Poland, the last of which, on January 18, 2015, saw him win on points against Nuri Seferi, earning the European WBO title and becoming the mandatory challenger for a bout with WBO World Champion Marco Huck.

On August 14, 2015, in New Jersey, Głowacki brutally knocked out long-time champion Marco Huck in the 11th round, becoming the new world champion in the cruiserweight division according to the WBO. On September 17, 2016, he lost the title, suffering his first defeat in a 12-round unanimous decision to Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk.
