"The decision has been made": It has been revealed when Hugo Broos will leave the national team

The current head coach of the South African national team kicked off the COSAFA Cup, but it appears Hugo Broos is set to step down from his role sooner rather than later.
Details: According to FARPost, Broos himself has announced that he will leave his position as South Africa’s head coach in a year. His intention is to guide the team to the World Cup, see them through the tournament, and then depart.
Quote: "The decision has been made. After the World Cup, I’ll resign. My contract will be up, and I’ll end my coaching career. I’ve been coaching for almost 40 years, I’m 73. At some point, you have to stop. I don’t want to die on the bench," Broos stated.
He does not rule out staying involved in football entirely. There’s a possibility he could work as an advisor for the South African squad, but he no longer plans to be involved on a daily basis.
Reminder: The South African national team kicked off their COSAFA Cup campaign with a match against Mozambique. However, the tournament started on a sour note for the hosts — South Africa suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat.
