The future head coach of AC Milan, Paulo Fonseca, has been named along with his expected earnings in his new role.

According to Fichajes.net, the Portuguese specialist will sign a three-year contract with the Italian club. Fonseca will earn 3 million euros per season. The parties are in the final stages of negotiations.

Fonseca's contract with Lille, which he joined in 2022 and where he made a significant impact, expires on June 30. Thus, Milan will acquire the coach for free.

It is noted that Milan chose the Portuguese specialist due to his experience working in Italy. He also has a successful track record of managing on two fronts: domestic competitions and European tournaments (in Milan's case, the Champions League), as he demonstrated during his tenure at Shakhtar Donetsk.

AC Milan finished the current Serie A season in second place in the standings.
