Porto offer €15m for talented Barcelona defender

Young Barcelona central defender Mikayil Faye may soon leave the club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Porto is highly interested in signing Faye. A meeting between representatives of both clubs is scheduled soon, during which Porto will offer Barcelona €15 million for Faye's transfer.

However, Barcelona is willing to let the Senegalese player go only if a buy-back option is included in the deal. The club considers Faye a significant talent and wants the option to bring him back if he excels at Porto.

Good relations between Barcelona's sporting director Deco and Porto's new president André Villas-Boas play a crucial role in these negotiations.

Mikayil Faye joined Barcelona last summer from Croatian club Kustosija. This season, he has played 33 matches for Barcelona B, scoring 4 goals. The 19-year-old also has 1 cap and 1 goal for the Senegal national team.
