Ronwen Williams: "Obviously, it was devastating"

The Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper gave a brief interview, sharing the team's mood after their defeat in the CAF Champions League final.
Details: The 33-year-old Ronwen Williams spoke about the atmosphere within the squad ahead of the Club World Cup:
"It's an amazing feeling to be at the Club World Cup. This is history for the club, for the country. We've worked so hard to get here—you know how much we've fought to reach this stage, how much we've sacrificed…
This season, we had to focus on so many competitions, and only this week have we really been able to concentrate on the Club World Cup. It was a tough period after losing the Champions League final.
The good thing is, the coach gave us a few days off—five or six days—and when we returned to training, you could see the energy was back.
So those five days apart also... they gave us strength again, brought back that spark. Obviously, it was devastating, it was hard to accept that loss, but we have to keep moving forward. At Mamelodi Sundowns, there's always another opportunity…" Williams told iDiskiTimes.
Mamelodi Sundowns will play their opening Club World Cup match on June 17 against South Korean champions Ulsan Hyundai at the Inter & Co Stadium in Orlando.
Reminder: We are the best team in Africa! The Mamelodi coach commented on the upcoming Club World Cup
