World soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has become the world's highest-paid athlete according to Forbes.

According to the publication, the footballer of the Portuguese national team and club "Al-Nasr" returned to the top of the list after three years.

Thanks to this, he entered the Guinness Book of Records as the athlete who has the highest annual income among all colleagues in the field.

Since moving to Saudi Arabia in early 2023, he has earned a staggering €121 million.

Previously topping the list was Argentine striker Lionel Messi, who earned almost €92 million playing for Paris Saint-Germain in 2022.

Interestingly, Ronaldo's income from soccer amounted to only € 41 million, while advertising contracts, including a sponsorship agreement with Nike, and the sale of goods with his brand CR7 brought him about € 80 million.

According to media reports, the Portuguese's wages have at least doubled since his move to the Arabian league. His contract with the Arabian club runs until the end of 2024.
