The Leicester medical staff were left stunned after hearing Vardy's revelation.

Details: In a recent interview, 39-year-old former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy shocked fans by admitting that during the 2015/16 season—Leicester's historic Premier League title run—he often took to the pitch drunk, as he would drink a vodka and candy cocktail before matches.

Vardy claims this unusual recipe helped him cope with injuries, although the club's medical staff were absolutely against his method:

"While I was recovering from an injury, I used my own secret recipe for recovery: I filled bottles with colorful Skittles candies and washed them down with vodka. When the club doctor found out, he nearly lost his mind; he said this drink only made my muscle tears worse. Medically, he was probably right, but that season I became a Premier League champion thanks to this strange vodka mix." Vardy confessed.

Vardy played for Leicester from 2012 to 2025. He was the club's main star during the title-winning campaign, scoring 24 goals in 38 matches and providing 7 assists.

In total, Vardy made 500 appearances for Leicester, scoring 200 goals and supplying 21 assists.

Currently, Jamie plays for Italian side Cremonese, having joined them in the summer of 2025 for €1.25 million.
