Patrice Beaumelle could take charge of an African national team
The French coach is reportedly among the candidates for the position of head coach of the Ghana national team.
The Ghana Football Association is looking for a successor to Carlos Queiroz, who stepped down as manager of the Black Stars following the FIFA World Cup held this summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Patrice Beaumelle is among the names being considered to take charge of the Ghanaian national team.
The French coach is reportedly being considered to take the helm of the Black Stars. The 48-year-old French manager has a good understanding of African football and its demands. Patrice Beaumelle has managed the national teams of Ivory Coast, Zambia and Angola.
In addition to his experience with national teams, Beaumelle has also worked with clubs in Africa. In particular, he has managed MC Alger and Esperance Sportive de Tunis. This experience could prove appealing to the Ghanaian football authorities.
