Not just Barcelona: Chelsea and Aston Villa also facing UEFA troubles

We recently reported that Barcelona could face serious consequences from UEFA for breaching financial fair play regulations. It turns out the list of clubs in hot water is a bit longer.
Details: According to a report by The Times, two English clubs—Aston Villa and Chelsea—are also under UEFA scrutiny. The Villans simply exceeded the club’s €200 million loss limit over the past three years, while Chelsea’s issue stems from the sale of their women’s team to a subsidiary company.
Unlike in the Premier League, UEFA does not count such transactions as club revenue. Still, both clubs are currently in talks with European football’s governing body to resolve the issues, and most likely, they will get away with just a fine.
Reminder: Barcelona’s situation is far more serious. The club has already been fined for a similar violation, but this time, the punishment could be much harsher.
