Genoa CFC appointed Daniele De Rossi as head coach during the 2025/26 season, but the club could now be at risk of losing him.
Details: According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Genoa were unable to reach an agreement with De Rossi over a new contract. The club presented an offer on Wednesday, May 27, but it was rejected. As things currently stand, De Rossi could remain at the club without signing a new deal.
De Rossi has been in charge of Genoa since November of last year. This season, the team finished 16th in the Serie A standings.
Meanwhile, former AC Milan and Juventus FC head coach Massimiliano Allegri is set to become the new manager of SSC Napoli. The two parties have reached a full agreement over the terms of a two-year contract.
Reminder: 54-year-old Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino has decided to step down as head coach of the United States men's national soccer team after the World Cup and could take charge of a Serie A side.
