Crystal Palace faces a potential ban from European competitions due to multi-club ownership issues involving the "Eagles" owner John Textor. While Textor does not hold a controlling stake, with a possible exclusion from European tournaments, the situation could soon be resolved.

Details: A consortium of sports and entertainment industry executives, which includes NBA star Jimmy Butler, is reportedly preparing a $200 million bid for Eagle Football's stake in Crystal Palace, according to The Athletic.

This consortium is backed by an American group with prior experience investing in football clubs. Initial talks have already taken place with Textor, who currently owns a 43% share in Crystal Palace.

It is also reported that New York Jets NFL owner Woody Johnson has shown interest in the club, though he has yet to receive a financial valuation from Textor.

Reminder: Recently, Nottingham Forest sent a letter to UEFA expressing concerns over the Crystal Palace situation, as the "Tricky Trees" are in contention for a vacant Europa League spot.
