Morocco has announced nine sites for the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), a new record for the number of stadiums utilized in a single edition. This brings the overall number of AFCON stadiums to 89, up from 83 when the competition first began in 1957.

The Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat will host the opening match, final, and five other games. The Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, which hosted the 1988 final, will be the venue for eight matches. The Grande Stade d’Agadir and the Grande Stade de Marrakech will also each host eight games.

Egypt's Cairo International Stadium has hosted the most AFCON games in history (35), followed by Ghana's Accra Sports Stadium (32) and Kumasi's Baba Yaro Stadium (26).

The record of six stadiums set by Mali in 2002, when the tournament included 16 teams and 32 matches, is surpassed by Morocco's utilization of nine stadiums. It is anticipated that the added venues would improve the competition and further contribute to AFCON's history.
