Four players called up for the first time to the Mali national team

Anthony Da Silva’s first squad list as head of the technical staff for the Mali national team features a number of new players.

On Thursday 10 September, the Portuguese manager unveiled the 26-man squad that will represent Mali during the upcoming international break. Whilst there were some notable absences from the squad, a number of new faces have also made their debut.

Paris FC midfielder Adama Camara, KRC Genk goalkeeper Emile Doucoure, Abha Club forward Almamy Gori and Stade de Reims midfielder Ange Tia have all been called up for their first appearance for the Mali national team.

They will make their very first appearances for the Eagles during the upcoming international break. Mali will host Cape Verde in Bamako on 23 September in the opening match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Anthony Da Silva and his team will then travel to Liberia on 27 September for the second match of the qualifiers. Following these first two qualifying fixtures, the Eagles will travel to Tunis to play a friendly against Tunisia, scheduled for 3 October.
