The Democratic Republic of the Congo has included a number of dual nationals in its squad for the upcoming international break

The Leopards’ manager, Sébastien Desabre, unveiled on Friday 11 September the squad list for the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as well as for the two-legged friendly against Uganda.

However, this squad is notable for the inclusion of several dual nationals who have chosen to represent the DR Congo on the international stage. Jorthy Mokio, who had previously represented Belgium, has opted for the DR Congo for the remainder of his international career and is now among the players called up. Junior Kadile, who was born in France, will also be representing the DR Congo from now on.

Anthony Musaba, born in the Netherlands, is also on Sébastien Desabre’s list. Brandon Ndezi, born in France, has likewise been called up to the Leopards. As for Ezechiël Banzuzi, a Dutch youth international, he will now represent the DR Congo at international level.

Willy Kambwala, Kevin Pedro, Noah Mbamba-Muanda, Nathan Ndibu Mukadi, Paris Maghoma, Stanis Idumbo Muzambo and Stephy Mavididi also feature among the new faces on Sébastien Desabre’s squad list.
