The Leopards kick off their training camp in Kinshasa

Several DR Congo internationals arrived at the national team’s training camp on Monday 21 September, ahead of the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

A first wave of players has already settled in the Congolese capital. Fiston Mayele, Matthieu Epolo, Steve Kapwadi, Edo Kayembe, Samuel Esende, Afimiko Pululu and Nathan Ndibu are among the first Leopards to have joined the training camp.

The new faces called up by Sébastien Desabre are also present in Kinshasa. Jordy Makengo, Kevin Pedro and Junior Kadile have thus joined the camp. The Congolese squad will gradually be completed with the arrival of the other players called up by the manager.

The DR Congo will begin their qualifying campaign at home on 24 September against Equatorial Guinea on matchday one. The Leopards will then travel to Zimbabwe on 28 September for matchday two.
