Swedish track and field athlete Armand Duplantis is back in the spotlight. At the Olympics in Paris, the athlete broke the world and Olympic records in the pole vault.

At the first attempt Duplantis conquered all the heights he was taking today: 5.70, 5.85, 5.95, 6.00, 6.10. Already at the 6-meter mark, it became clear that Duplantis would become a two-time Olympic champion. However, the Swede did not stop and decided to conquer the world record - 6 meters 25 centimetres.

Armand's first two attempts failed, although the jumps were very close to being successful. However, the last third attempt turned out the way Duplantis wanted it to.

Thus, with one jump, the Swede updated the world and Olympic records in pole vaulting. Now they are 6.25.

Earlier, we reported that the Dutch yachtswoman will update the Olympic medal record in her kind of sport.
