Lamine Ndiaye joins an exclusive club in African football
He has won the Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup
By winning the CAF Confederation Cup with USM Alger, the Senegalese coach has become one of the few African managers to achieve a continental double.
Lamine Ndiaye led USM Alger to victory in the 2025–2026 CAF Confederation Cup final. The Senegalese tactician and his team defeated Zamalek SC on Saturday 16 May. This triumph further cements Ndiaye’s place in the history of African football.
He had already won the Champions League with TP Mazembe in 2010 and has now claimed the CAF Confederation Cup this season. He thus becomes the fifth African football manager to achieve this feat.
Lamine Ndiaye joins Faouzi Benzarti, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, Houssine Ammouta and Moine Chaabani in this exclusive circle.
