Cameroon midfielder Monique Ngock was named the official Woman of the Match after inspiring the Indomitable Lionesses to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ghana at the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Ngock delivered an influential performance in the middle of the park, helping Cameroon control key moments of the contest as they secured a vital three points in their Group D encounter in Rabat.

The victory moved Cameroon to the brink of qualification for the quarter-finals, with the Lionesses producing a disciplined display against a determined Ghanaian side.

The decisive moment came in the 19th minute when Cameroon were awarded a penalty following a VAR review. Manga confidently converted from the spot, giving her side the lead that ultimately proved enough to separate the two teams.

Although Ghana pushed for an equaliser during the remainder of the match, Cameroon remained organised defensively and held firm to preserve their narrow advantage until the final whistle.

Ngock's tireless work rate, composure in possession and all-round influence throughout the encounter earned her the official Woman of the Match award, capping an outstanding individual display
