CAF confirms the date of the draw for the preliminary rounds of the 2026–2027 Champions League and Confederation Cup

The ceremony will be held next Thursday at the headquarters of African football’s governing body in Cairo, Egypt.

This ceremony will mark the official kick-off of the new season of the Confederation of African Football’s club competitions. Participating teams will find out who their first opponents will be in the race to qualify for the group stage of both CAF club competitions.

The programme will begin with the Confederation Cup draw at 11 am GMT in Cairo. This will be followed, an hour later, by the Champions League draw, scheduled for 12 pm GMT, also at CAF headquarters in Cairo.
