Just six days after Brazil’s national team crashed out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, forward Neymar—who also plays for Santos—jumped right back into the competitive spotlight, this time at the prestigious World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournament in Las Vegas.
According to O Globo, the Brazilian footballer paid a hefty $10,000 buy-in (about 51,000 Brazilian reals) to take his seat at the event.
This isn’t Neymar’s first foray onto the WSOP stage. Back in 2022, the forward also took part in one of the World Series of Poker events, where he finished 49th out of 2,227 participants—walking away with $3,959 in prize money.
As a reminder, the Brazil national team recently wrapped up their World Cup campaign, after which Neymar decided to stay in the United States and once again test his luck at the poker table.
