Guardiola delivers speech on Gaza Strip after receiving honorary degree from University of Manchester

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola delivered a powerful speech regarding the Gaza Strip during the ceremony where he was awarded an honorary degree by the University of Manchester.
The ceremony took place at Whitworth Hall in Manchester. The Spaniard received the award from university chancellor Nazir Afzal, after which he gave a moving address from the podium about the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip.
"It's so painful what we see in Gaza. It hurts all my body. Let me be clear - it's not about ideology. It's not about I'm right and you're wrong. Come on, it's just about the love of life. About the care of your neighbour," Guardiola stated.
He urged people not to turn away from what’s happening, not to pretend it’s none of our business, not to ignore the fact that children are dying in Gaza just because they are someone else’s children. In addition, Guardiola said that no one should think that a single person is too small or too weak to make a difference and therefore do nothing at all. He called on people not to stay silent.
It’s worth noting that earlier this week, the UN warned of a "horrific level of death and destruction" in the Gaza Strip and demanded that Israel allow a "surge of humanitarian aid" into the city.
