US President Donald Trump and FIFA chief Gianni Infantino have announced a major partnership aimed at raising $75 million for projects to restore the Gaza Strip.

Details: The initiative focuses on leveraging football as a tool for the region’s rehabilitation. The program includes not only financial support for building sports infrastructure, but also sending top-tier global football stars to the conflict zone to support the local population.

The launch of this humanitarian project was announced during the inaugural meeting of the “Peace Council”—a new diplomatic body established by the Trump administration to address global conflicts.

According to the plan, football icons from around the world will visit Gaza as part of diplomatic missions, aiming to inspire local youth and draw international attention to the region’s humanitarian needs.

Reminder: Gianni Infantino and Aleksander Čeferin have been accused of aiding war crimes. The presidents of FIFA and UEFA may face trial at the International Criminal Court.
