Erling Haaland's radical transformation has produced some priceless reactions from two football legends.

Details: Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has said goodbye to the long blond hair that had become one of the most recognizable features of his image. After getting a short buzz cut ahead of the new season, the Norwegian decided to show off the result to people close to him — and personally called former Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola and Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Guardiola took the unexpected change with humor. Seeing Haaland's new hairstyle during the video call, the Spanish coach joked:

"You are lucky you have hair, I would love to have it."

Haaland could only laugh at the response from his former manager.

Ibrahimović's reaction was much more brutal. The legendary Swede could hardly believe what he was seeing and immediately asked Haaland whether he had lost a bet:

"What the f*ck is this? You've lost a bet or what? Oh my gosh! Block me and erase my number."

The Norwegian once again burst out laughing as Zlatan delivered his verdict on the dramatic makeover.

Haaland documented the transformation in a video released ahead of Manchester City's opening Premier League match of the 2026/27 season against Bournemouth. It is worth noting that the Norwegian remains under contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2034. In the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, he scored 27 goals and provided eight assists.
