Erling Haaland is starting the new season with a completely new look.

Details: Renowned insider Fabrizio Romano shared fresh images of the Manchester City striker, adding a short message: “Erling Haaland, ready for the new season.” The Norwegian appeared in front of the camera with a dramatically different hairstyle, saying goodbye to the long blond hair that had become one of the most recognizable parts of his image.

The before-and-after shots make the transformation particularly striking. Haaland has opted for a much shorter haircut, and his new appearance immediately attracted attention on social media shortly before Manchester City begin their Premier League campaign.

The timing could hardly be more fitting. Manchester City are preparing to open their 2026/27 Premier League season against Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium, so the Norwegian will have an opportunity to debut his new look on the pitch almost immediately.

It is worth noting that Haaland remains tied to Manchester City by a long-term contract running until the summer of 2034. In the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, the Norwegian striker scored 27 goals and provided eight assists.
