The Egyptian national soccer team is feeling more confident before their last African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying game against Botswana on Tuesday. Omar Marmoush, a top player who is doing well with Eintracht Frankfurt, will come back to help the team after sitting out their last game against Cape Verde.
The match will happen at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo. Egypt is leading Group C with 13 points and has already made it to AFCON 2025 in Morocco. Botswana, with 7 points, needs at least a tie to guarantee their place in the tournament. If they lose, Mauritania and Cape Verde, both with 4 points, might still have a chance to qualify.
Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet" and Marwan Attia, who were suspended for the previous game, will also return to Egypt. However, the club will be missing injured midfielder Mohamed Shehata, goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy, and midfielder Hamdy Fathy, who are out due to a string of yellow cards.
Botswana's destiny will be decided by this pivotal match, which will heighten the stress of an already fierce match.
