The Ghana national team have dismissed their head coach and are now searching for a replacement. One of the names linked to the role is Joachim Löw, who has now addressed the speculation.
Details: According to Sky Sports, the German coach, who led his country to World Cup glory in 2014, will not be taking the job. He personally denied the reports.
Quote: “Officially, no one from Ghana has spoken to me,” Löw said, as quoted by DW Sports.
Earlier reports suggested that negotiations were at an advanced stage, with both sides having already agreed on personal terms — it was expected that Löw would earn around €150,000 per month.
Joachim Löw is currently a free agent after stepping down as head coach of the Germany national team in 2021.
Reminder: Hervé Renard returned to Saudi Arabia and guided them to qualification for the 2026 World Cup, but he is now ready to move on and take charge of another team.
