Official! Chelsea star leaves for Napoli

Benoit Badiashile is ready for a new chapter in Italy after bringing his spell at Chelsea to a temporary halt.

Details: Chelsea have officially confirmed that the 25-year-old French centre-back has completed a season-long loan move to Napoli. The London club did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement in its announcement.

According to previously reported details of the agreement, Napoli will pay €3 million for the loan, while another €1 million is included in add-ons. The Italian club will also have a €27 million option to make the defender's move permanent.

Badiashile had already undergone medical examinations in Italy before the deal was completed. He will now continue the 2026/27 campaign in Serie A as Napoli strengthen the centre of their defensive line.

The Frenchman joined Chelsea from Monaco in January 2023. According to the Blues' official announcement, Badiashile made 71 appearances in all competitions for the London club before completing his loan move to Napoli.

It is also worth noting that the 25-year-old defender has two senior caps for the France national team.
