A major defensive reinforcement! Chelsea defender set to continue his career in Serie A

Napoli is on the verge of completing a crucial deal to bolster their defensive line.

Details: According to renowned insider Nicolò Schira, Chelsea’s French central defender Benoît Badiashile is currently undergoing a medical at Rome’s Villa Stuart clinic ahead of his move to Napoli.

Once he passes the medical, the 25-year-old will sign a contract with the Neapolitan club until 2031 under a 1+4 scheme (one season on loan followed by a four-year deal if the purchase option is exercised). The player’s annual salary will be €2.8 million.

The agreement is being finalized as a paid loan for €3 million, with a purchase option set at €27 million in the summer of 2027.

It’s worth noting that in the 2025/26 season, the French defender made 16 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions. The reputable portal Transfermarkt currently values the player at €15 million.
