Transfer bombshell brewing! Milan set sights on Manchester City defensive star
Milan could make one of the most ambitious defensive moves of the summer.
Details: According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are searching for another centre-back and have added Manchester City defender Rúben Dias to their list of potential targets. The Portuguese international has reportedly slipped down the hierarchy at the English club in recent times, which could open the door to a transfer before the summer window closes.
The Rossoneri are continuing to reshape their squad under Rúben Amorim and strengthening the centre of defence remains one of the club's priorities. Dias would represent a high-profile option thanks to his vast Premier League and Champions League experience.
Interest from Milan has also been reported by other sources in recent days, although there is currently no indication that an agreement has been reached with Manchester City. The English club therefore remain in control of the situation, while Milan are assessing whether a deal for the Portuguese defender can realistically be pursued.
It is worth noting that Dias joined Manchester City from Benfica in September 2020 and has made more than 200 appearances for the club. His current contract at the Etihad Stadium runs until the summer of 2029.
