Today marked the second match of the Asian Cup, following yesterday's opening match between Qatar and Lebanon.

Our awaited clash in Group B unfolded, pitting Australia against India. Australians were deemed absolute favorites for the match and managed to validate that status on the field.

The first half concluded in a goalless draw of 0-0, although Australia had ample opportunities to break the deadlock. The Socceroos unleashed fourteen shots on their opponents' goal, but only two found the target. The Indian national team responded with merely three attempts.

In the second half, the Australian players entered with a more determined mindset, breaking the deadlock in the 50th minute. Jackson Irvine, representing St. Pauli in the Second Bundesliga, was the scorer.

Following this, Socceroos' coach Graham Arnold made four substitutions within nine minutes, and two of them proved to be highly effective. In the 73rd minute, Jordan Bos from French side Westerlo, who had entered the pitch just a minute earlier, connected with a pass from Middlesbrough striker Corey Mcgregor, who had joined the game nine minutes prior. This goal doubled Australia's advantage and established the final score in the match.
