Anything for Arsenal. Raheem Sterling rejects huge offer from Saudi Arabia

Yesterday, the transfer window officially closed in England. In the final hours, clubs were still actively working, and one of the last Premier League transfers was Raheem Sterling’s loan move from Chelsea to Arsenal.
After Enzo Maresca took over as Chelsea’s head coach, he made it clear that Sterling wouldn’t be a key part of his plans for the new season. Maresca openly stated that it would be "difficult for Sterling to get playing time."
This situation drew interest from several clubs, and after the confirmation of Sterling’s move to Arsenal, it was revealed that the Englishman had turned down a very lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia.
According to The Mirror, an unnamed Saudi club offered Sterling a weekly salary of £650,000, which would have amounted to nearly £34 million per season. This offer was significantly higher than salaries in England, but Sterling chose Arsenal instead. Daily Mail reports that his salary at Chelsea is £300,000, meaning he could have earned more than double in the Middle East.
Sterling’s decision is believed to be linked to his long-term ambition of returning to the England national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
It’s worth noting that the loan deal for Sterling is for one season.
