The resulting sculpture turned out to be downright bizarre.
Details: In Radamel Falcao's hometown of Santa Marta, a real statue was unveiled to honor the footballer and his outstanding achievements on the pitch.
However, alongside the celebratory opening and initial excitement, fans were left utterly disappointed by the statue’s appearance. The entire sculpture looks poorly crafted, crooked, and unattractive, and the material—old iron with copper oxide—gave it a rather unappealing color.
For now, supporters are simply mocking the sculptor’s work, while Radamel Falcao himself has yet to comment on this “creation.”
Radamel Falcao was born in Santa Marta in 1986 and began his football journey at Lanceros Boyacá. Throughout his career, Falcao has played for clubs like River Plate, Porto, Atlético Madrid, Monaco, Manchester United, and Chelsea. He’s also earned 105 caps for the Colombian national team, scoring 36 goals.
Currently, Falcao is playing for Millonarios FC, having joined the club this winter as a free agent.
