On December 13, Lionel Messi will visit Kolkata, where he will take part in the unveiling of a 21-meter monument dedicated to him.

Details: According to the BBC, the sculpture will depict the footballer holding the 2022 World Cup trophy, which he won with Argentina. The monument took 45 days to complete and will stand as the centerpiece of the city's fan zone.

The fan zone will also feature a life-size sculpture of Messi seated on a throne surrounded by replicas of his trophies, as well as a replica of his Miami home. Joining Messi at the unveiling ceremony will be his Inter Miami teammates Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul.

After Kolkata, Messi will continue his tour across India, visiting Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi. The tour is organized to honor the player's achievements and to promote football among local fans.

Reminder: Lionel Messi became the first player in MLS history to win the MVP award in back-to-back seasons.
