Yesterday, as part of the UEFA Nations League, Portugal cruised to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Poland on the road. Details: Despite his age, Ronaldo continues to rewrite football history. Yesterday’s goal against Poland was the 906th of his career, further distancing him from his closest challengers.
That goal also brought his tally to 133 for Portugal. His nearest rival, Lionel Messi, has scored 109 goals for Argentina.
In addition to reaching 100 official victories with the national team, Ronaldo became the first player to hit this milestone. In terms of total wins across all matches, including friendlies, Ronaldo is now tied with Sergio Ramos, both having 131 victories.

Reminder: Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut for Portugal at the age of 18 in a friendly match against Kazakhstan in 2003. The following year, he was included in the squad for Euro 2004, and since then, he has not missed a single major tournament.
Euro 2024 was the first major tournament of Ronaldo’s career where he failed to score a goal. However, he is making up for it in the UEFA Nations League, having scored in each of Portugal’s three matches so far.
