At 39 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo remains a key figure for his national team and continues to score goals while wearing the Portugal jersey.
The star forward of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr scored today against Poland in the UEFA Nations League. In the 37th minute, Ronaldo doubled his team's lead with a goal against goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski. This goal marked his 133rd for the Portugal national team, further extending his own record for most goals in national team history.
It is worth noting that Ronaldo has scored in every Nations League match this year. Interestingly, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has also been involved in scoring in every match, with assists against Croatia and Poland and a goal against Scotland.
At halftime, Portugal confidently leads Poland, and in their next match against Scotland, they will have the chance to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the current UEFA Nations League.
