Zubeldía Steps Down as São Paulo Coach Amid Inconsistent Results and Internal Frictions

Luis Zubeldía is no longer São Paulo’s head coach. Following a spell marked by erratic performances and reported internal disagreements, the Argentine tactician and the club’s board reached an early termination agreement, bringing his tenure to an end. Although the official announcement is pending, club sources confirmed it will be made public in the coming hours.
The departure was reportedly amicable and free of public controversy. Zubeldía was in charge for 422 days, during which he led the team in 82 matches. His record stands at 37 wins, 24 draws, and 21 losses, with a win rate of 54.87%.
Despite the turbulence, his stint will be remembered for an attacking playing style and his willingness to integrate young talents into the senior squad. However, the inability to maintain consistent form ultimately proved decisive in the club’s decision to part ways.
